The Olive & Marble Dining Room
This dining room was designed to feel timeless, grounded, and quietly striking. The architecture already provided a beautiful foundation with the soft arch framing the room, so the design focused on layering sculptural furniture, rich natural materials, and art that creates a strong focal point without overwhelming the space.
The centerpiece of the room is a dramatic round marble dining table in deep burgundy tones. The organic pattern in the stone adds movement and depth while grounding the neutral palette of the room. Surrounding it are sculptural olive green upholstered dining chairs with curved silhouettes that feel both modern and comfortable. Their soft texture balances the weight of the marble while making the room feel inviting rather than formal.
Above the table, a black iron chandelier adds contrast and architectural structure. The long arms create visual width across the room while the candle style bulbs keep the lighting classic and understated.
The artwork behind the table anchors the entire composition. The large equestrian painting introduces earthy greens and warm tones that connect beautifully with the chairs and marble. On either side, vintage inspired sunburst sculptures add subtle symmetry and a bit of character without competing with the artwork.
A clean lined textured sideboard provides storage while maintaining a light, minimal backdrop so the focal elements can shine. Acrylic accent chairs with patterned pillows on either side keep the space visually open while adding an extra layer of seating and interest.
