A Warm, Timeless Sitting Room Designed for Conversation

This sitting room was designed around that idea.
Four curved upholstered chairs are arranged in a circular layout around a sculptural ottoman, creating a natural space for conversation. Instead of a traditional sofa facing a single direction, the seating arrangement encourages guests to face one another, making the room feel intimate, welcoming, and intentional.
The palette leans into warm neutrals and layered textures. Soft taupe walls create a calming backdrop while the striped upholstery introduces quiet pattern. A wool area rug grounds the room and adds softness underfoot, balancing the richness of the wood floors.
Above the seating area, a brass chandelier adds a sculptural element and draws the eye upward. Its modern silhouette contrasts beautifully with the classic lines of the furniture.
