Story
Beautiful spaces have always mattered to me.
My love for design started with fashion. I’ve always been drawn to pieces that feel timeless, thoughtful, and well put together. Over time, I realized those same principles apply to the spaces we live in.
Our homes are the backdrop to our lives.
When I got my first apartment in college, I didn’t have much of a budget, but I cared deeply about how my space felt. I spent time searching through Facebook Marketplace and thrift stores, finding pieces that made my home feel warm, comfortable, and intentional. I didn’t want to come home after a long day to a space that felt uninspiring. I wanted it to feel peaceful. I wanted it to feel like a place I genuinely loved being in.
That experience shaped how I think about design.
The spaces we live in influence how we feel, how we rest, how we gather, and how we connect with the people we love. A thoughtfully designed home can create calm, spark inspiration, and provide the setting for moments that become lasting memories.
And creating a beautiful home isn’t reserved for a certain type of house or a certain size budget. When a space is designed with intention, it can feel elevated and inspiring at any level.
That belief is what led to the creation of Rowan & Muse Interiors.
Rowan & Muse was created to help people design spaces that feel beautiful, peaceful, and deeply personal. Through virtual design services, sourcing, and guided consultations, the goal is to make thoughtful design more accessible — whether someone is refreshing a single room or creating a cohesive vision for their home.
The name Rowan & Muse reflects this philosophy.
The Rowan tree has long symbolized warmth, protection, and home. It represents grounding and refuge, the feeling that a home should provide.
A Muse is a source of inspiration. In art and design, a muse sparks creativity and vision.
